News
2024 was supposed to be my 'slowing down' year but it seems to have been as busy as ever.
I have completed my usual teaching sessions at Bee Crafty to both my regular students and some new faces who have joined us for occasional visits.
I took part in The Big Textile Show again where I had sold out classes for my textural embroidery sessions and slow stitching with transfer paints. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and usually catch up with some old friends too - always lovely.
I launched my 'Design for Stitch' sessions at home and am currently trialling this with a student who can't always travel, as an 'online' class. It seems to be working well so do get in touch if this is something you would like to do.
I had a craft stall for a friend in the summer who was raising money for her local church via the Open Garden scheme. So many people were fascinated by my teabag pieces - so much so that I have started a new piece after a couple of years away.
For the first time, I took part in the local Open Studios event where I opened up my studio at home and welcomed people in to look at my work and be Wowed by the number of books that I have made. I can't quite believe that I now have over 90!! Hubby, on the other hand, tells me there is no more room to put up any more shelves to store them!
There is so much more I could talk about but I mustn't digress...
New Series of Tutorials coming soon.
Due to the success of the mushroom tutorials (still only £10 each) I will be offering a second set - this time it will be Fairy Houses - but again I will be encouraging you to try out different stitches to extend your repertoire. Please contact me for more info.
I offer workshops that I teach from home (max of 3 students), including Eco-printing, rust and ice dyeing, gelli plate printing, long stitch book binding, working with transfer paints and working with teabags.
Further workshops can be tailored to individual requirements if preferred.
Please contact me for dates and further info.
I now offer a range of tutorials / workshops for you to do at home - please contact me for more info, check out my facebook page or keep an eye on the Tutorials page as I add more to it.
Bookbinding tutorials are priced at £25 and all other tutorials are £15 each.
